Clyde and Nina Viola are thrilled to be launching their new business, Envy Cafe in downtown Burford later this week. From breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit smoothies and deli lunch fare to baked goods, homemade chili and daily soup specials, Envy Café will be a welcome addition to the community of Burford. Located at 127 King Street the couple can’t wait to open their doors and share their services! Envy Café will be offering breakfasts, homemade cakes and baked treats with a number of wholesome, delicious sandwich meals on fresh ciabatta buns or rye bread.
“The community has lots of food places, but there’s nowhere to get breakfast or grab a healthy homemade lunch. Envy Café is here to offer that!” says owner Clyde during The Burford Advance tour of the new cafe.
“We both have our specialties, I make amazing smoothies and iced cappuccinos, Nina bakes everything from scratch – there’s just something different when everything is made fresh and from scratch” he explains.
The plan for Envy Cafe is to open early, starting the day at 6:00 AM and staying open until the evening crowd has gone through. With so many people on their way to work early each morning, Envy Café has developed a number of quick grab breakfasts, egg sandwiches and of course, lots of coffee to help keep their customers full and satisfied.
“We want our breakfast special to be 100 times better than other breakfasts” says Clyde, describing the ingredients they will use and the competitive prices they plan to attach to their meals.
Envy Café is renting half of the current building space and have spent endless hours decorating and furnishing the café. With dark stained wood trim and large glass displays, the space has a welcoming vibe, a vibrant menu and a desire to cater to the needs of the community.
The café plans to open its doors officially on Thursday October 8 and will host their grand opening on Saturday October 17 with free coffee for everyone!
Be sure to check out Envy Café, try a sandwich or a bowl of soup and welcome them to the community!
