The County of Brant invites you to engage with
us as we investigate and evaluate water and
wastewater servicing alternatives and drainage
improvements for the community of Burford.
The Master Plan will consider the various
alternatives for both water and wastewater
servicing as well as alternatives to improve
surface water drainage throughout the
community to the 2050 design horizon.
Alternatives will be examined as part of the
study including the impacts of alternatives on
the social, cultural and natural environment.
The approximate extent of the Study Area is
shown on the map.
The Study is being carried out in accordance
with the requirements for Master Plan study
(Phases 1 and 2) as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental
Assessment Manual (October 2000, as amended 2007, 2011 & 2015), which is an approved process
under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
Public consultation is important for the success of this project. We’re interested in receiving your
comments. Public, review agency, and Indigenous communities’ consultation is a key element of the
process and input will be sought from various parties throughout the study. At this time, it is
anticipated that two (2) Public Information Centers (PICs) will be conducted in 2021 to invite public
input. All Project information including notices and updates will be posted on the County of Brant’s
website, www.brant.ca/BurfordMasterPlan.
Project and Notice information will be provided in alternative format upon request in accordance with
The County of Brant’s Accessible Customer Service Policy and the Integrated Accessibility Standards
Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11) as legislated under the AODA, 2005.
