Perhaps by the time this makes the paper our Burford CIBC Bank might actually be open. Either way, there is a phone number which you can call to voice your opinion about it being closed. I think it’s called “Client Care”. Be prepared to be on hold for awhile! When I called I was on hold for about 17 minutes and when I asked why the Burford and Norwich branches were closed I was told, for the obvious reason – “the virus.” When I said that I couldn’t see why whatever measures that were being taken in Paris could not be taken in Burford and Norwich, I was told that some staff were uncomfortable coming to work because of the virus and therefore they had to spread their staff out. At the time I didn’t think to ask why they couldn’t have Burford open 2 days a week and an Paris 3, or better yet, the other way around. That should solve the staffing problem. The same idea would work for Norwich of course. It would seem that the small town customers are of very little importance to the CIBC.
